The Pick Data Provider for .NET product was the first connectivity product for the Microsoft .NET Framework platform in the MultiValue market and the first and only MultiValue product to obtain Microsoft's Optimized for Visual Studio for .NET certification. Thoroughly tested and deployed on multiple MutliValue platforms during the past four years, ISS products deliver the performance and reliability your MultiValue mission critical applications can count on.  The ISS Middleware Components cater Java, .NET and SQL Server Reporting Services development on MultiValue operating platforms such as IBM/UniVerse, IBM/UniData, Pick D3 and others.
  • Pick Data Provider for .NET

    The ISS Data Provider for .NET is a data provider specifically written to allow software developers to write Microsoft .NET framework applications regardless of language and tap natively into the intrinsic functions of MultiValue database environments.

     

    The ISS Data Provider for .NET includes typed and untyped datasets for ADO.NET and offers seamless connectivity to the database. Events generated on the database environment are reported back to the .NET application and MultiValue basic like functions are also provided for string data manipulation.

     

    The Data Provider for .NET is available in a developer SDK version which includes extended MultiValue aware graphic components, a database administrator for dictionary and program editing and is fully compatible with the latest versions of Visual Studio .NET 2005 and the upcoming Orcas environment.

     

    The Windows NT based platform is supported by a built in Inetd (xinetd or inetd unix based) connector interface for fast access to the mutlivalue database engine. Persistent and non-persistent connections with corresponding optimistic and pessimistic record locking are also supported

     

    This product is available in a developer SDK and a runtime component license.

     

  • Java Data Provider

    The Java Data Provider is a Java connectivity product written in Java, offering the same functionality as the ISS Pick Data Provider Connector library. The Java Data Provider was created to meet the Java development needs of software developers requiring real time integration with MultiValue applications and data files. The Java Data Provider supports the latest JRE and JSDK environments available versions 1.4.0 and higher.

     

    The ISS Java Data Provider offers many internal MultiValue functions required to manipulate databases, records, dictionaries and data records.

     

    The Java Data Provider also reports record locking contingencies and other database events generated on the server. It also provides an extensive list of string manipulation functions in Java for handling MultiValue data.

     

    This product is available in a developer SDK and a runtime component license and supports all popular Java Integrated Development Environments including NetBeans, JBuilder, Visual Age and Eclipse.

     

  • Reporting Services Connector

    An extension of the ISS Pick Data Provider for .NET ADO.NET library, ISS' Reporting Services (SSRS :Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services) MV Connector enables software developers and end users to create, manage and deploy traditional and electronic reports accessing MultiValue data sources natively by using the Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Reporting Services product.

     

    Built in wizards allow MultiValue developers and end users to define MultiValue Datasources which access MutliValue data through standard MultiValue dictionaries.

     

    After the MultiValue DataSource is defined, developers and end users can leverage the full power of SQL Server 2005 Reporting Services without any restrictions, for the creation of sophisticated rich interfaces for tabular and matrix reports, graphs and more.

     

    This product is available in a developer SDK and a runtime component license.

     

  • Proxy Server

    The ISS Proxy Server is a high performance connection pooling server designed to provide maximum scalability of  .NET and Java applications running with MultiValue databases. With the ISS Proxy Server, developers can achieve greater processing efficiencies while minimizing resource requirements from the MultiValue database engine.

     

    Depending on the application, significant efficiencies of users vs database license usage can be achieved, ranging from 5:1 or 8:1 ratios. That is 5 users handled by 1 MV database license or 8 users handled by 1 MV database license respectively.

     

    The ISS Proxy Server handles all persistent and non-persistent IP connections to the Multivalue database and efficiently monitors and brokers all incoming and outgoing data traffic. As a result, developers require less MultiValue database licenses to handle large number of users with their applications.

     

    The ISS Proxy Server is licensed on a per pool connection basis and is available for the ISS Pick Data Provider for .NET and ISS Java Data Provider products
